AVS Bio closes Biorbyt acquisition
The Cambridge-based supplier adds more than one million research products and an ecommerce platform.
Arlington Capital Partners-backed AVS Bio acquired Biorbyt, a Cambridge, UK-based supplier of life science research reagents. Founded in 2011, Biorbyt offers more than one million products, including antibodies, proteins, ELISA kits, small molecules and molecular biology reagents.
Its customers include pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology businesses and academic researchers. Biorbyt will continue under its existing leadership within AVS Bio.
Based in Norwich, Connecticut, AVS Bio supplies biological materials and services used in the development and manufacture of vaccines, therapeutics and biologics.
