Arlington Capital Partners acquires Gooch & Housego PLC
The deal takes the Ilminster-headquartered company private and provides capital for manufacturing capacity, technology development, and targeted acquisitions.
Arlington Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Gooch & Housego PLC, a UK-based manufacturer of advanced photonic and optical components for aerospace and defense, industrial, and life sciences markets. “G&H occupies a unique position at the intersection of advanced photonics, precision manufacturing, and some of the most important technology applications of the coming decades,” said Peter Manos, Managing Partner at Arlington Capital Partners.
The acquisition takes Gooch & Housego private, and Arlington plans to invest in manufacturing capacity, technology development, and potential follow-on acquisitions. The Washington, D.C.-area firm will support growth under chief executive Charlie Peppiatt and the existing leadership team, and expects to build a broader photonics and optics platform around the company.
