Kiteworks Acquires Bonfy.AI
The data-security buyer plans to integrate Bonfy.AI while continuing to offer its software separately.
Kiteworks, backed by Insight Partners and Sixth Street Growth, acquired Bonfy.AI, whose software classifies sensitive data and enforces policies as it moves through email, file sharing, SaaS applications and AI systems. Bonfy.AI evaluates the context of an exchange, including the sender, recipient and business purpose, before data is sent.
Kiteworks plans to integrate the technology into its platform while continuing to offer Bonfy.AI separately. The buyer said the deal was its eighth acquisition in under five years.
Bonfy.AI was founded by Gidi Cohen, who serves as CEO.
