CenterOak-Backed NOW CFO Acquires Formation Financial
Founder David Mozaffarian will continue to lead the Bay Area business under its existing brand.
NOW CFO, backed by CenterOak Partners, has acquired Formation Financial, a San Francisco Bay Area firm providing finance, accounting and human-resources support to venture- and private equity-backed startups. Founded in 2018, Formation will anchor a practice for companies from pre-seed through Series C, covering runway forecasts, board and investor reporting, fundraising readiness and audit-ready financials.
The transaction adds to NOW CFO’s Northern California operations, with consultants serving clients nationwide. Formation clients will gain access to the buyer’s national consultant network and global delivery team.
Integration will begin with internal operations.
