Testing Engineers, a San Leandro, California-based materials testing laboratory specializing in metallurgy and structural steel analysis, has been acquired by Certerra RMA Group.
Founded in 1954, the company has served the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly seven decades, providing critical testing and quality assurance for infrastructure projects, structural steel, bolts and fasteners, and other critical components.
“This acquisition represents another important step in executing our growth strategy and strengthening our position as the partner of choice for testing, inspection, and certification services in the earth sciences and materials engineering,” said Ed Lyon, CEO of Certerra.
Testing Engineers will merge into Certerra’s existing California operations, adding advanced metallurgy and materials engineering capabilities that the acquirer said will also benefit clients across its national network.
