Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired Southland Fire & Safety Equipment Inc., a Louisiana-based provider of fire suppression systems, inspections, and life safety services operating from 3 locations in Gonzales, Norco, and Port Allen.

The acquisition deepens Pye-Barker’s Gulf Coast coverage and adds specialized capabilities including fire hose hydrotesting, firetruck repair, and air mask fit testing to its national platform.
Pye-Barker now operates more than 250 locations and employs approximately 9,000 people, pursuing an acquisition-driven strategy of partnering with established regional fire protection specialists.
The transaction follows the platform’s mid-July add-on of Connecticut-based Hartford Sprinkler.
