Odeko acquires Montreal food distributor Nantel McDiarmid
Odeko acquires Nantel McDiarmid, a Montreal food and beverage distributor serving more than 3,500 business customers across Canada.
Odeko, an all-in-one operations and technology partner for more than 30,000 coffee shops, cafés and other food and beverage businesses, has acquired Nantel McDiarmid. The deal is Odeko's first cross-border acquisition.
Nantel McDiarmid traces its roots to 1960 and took its current form in 2019 after Nantel Distribution merged with P. McDiarmid et fils. It offers distribution, importing, brokerage, merchandising, warehousing and transportation services, and its Canadian leadership team will remain in place.
Odeko said the companies have worked together since 2019, when Nantel McDiarmid began working with a U.S. specialty distributor later acquired by Odeko. Nantel McDiarmid president Justin Letham said the deal gives the company new technology and investment capabilities.
