Main-backed Omnidocs acquires WoodWing
Omnidocs, a Main Capital Partners portfolio company since 2024, combines with Amsterdam-based WoodWing, also a Main portfolio company, in a deal that creates a group with more than 8,000 customers.
Omnidocs Group has agreed to acquire WoodWing, combining the two document and content software businesses. Both companies are portfolio companies of Main Capital Partners, which has backed Copenhagen-based Omnidocs since 2024 and Amsterdam-based WoodWing since 2020. The companies announced the combination last week.
The combined group will employ more than 400 people and report revenue above €70 million, serving over 8,000 customers. It will have offices in Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Malaysia, Belgium and Portugal, with the companies citing cross-selling, product development and international expansion as the rationale.
Main partner and head of Nordics Wessel Ploegmakers said the combination of two of its portfolio companies brings together document automation and enterprise information management expertise, with scope for further product innovation and geographic growth. Both management teams framed the deal as a step in building a broader international software group covering the document lifecycle.
