Main Capital Partners agrees to acquire Watermark
The Austin company serves about 1,500 institutions with tools for accreditation, faculty development and student success.
Main Capital Partners announced plans to acquire Watermark Insights, an Austin-based provider of software for higher-education institutions. Founded in 2000, Watermark serves approximately 1,500 public and private institutions and employs more than 300 people.
Its Educational Impact Suite combines academic assessment, accreditation compliance, faculty credential tracking, student engagement and curriculum management tools. Main plans to support further North American expansion, selective acquisitions and entry into European markets.
The September 16 announcement describes a proposed acquisition; it does not announce a closing or disclose financial terms.
