CVC-backed M Group acquires high-voltage connections specialist HVSS
HVSS, a Kettering-based designer and installer of electrical connections up to 132kV, adds more than 120 staff to M Group's energy business.
M Group has acquired HVSS, a Kettering-based company founded in 2010 that designs and delivers electrical connections at voltages of up to 132kV. HVSS operates from offices in Kettering, Leeds and Cardiff and serves industrial, commercial, residential, electric vehicle and healthcare clients. The deal adds more than 120 staff.
M Group said the acquisition gives it a wider range of services, from connection design and installation through energisation and maintenance. Chief executive Andrew Findlay said it strengthens the group's high-voltage connections capabilities. HVSS managing director Richard Parkes said the business expects to secure larger and more complex projects as part of the group.
The deal follows M Group's £265.4m of acquisitions in the year to 31 March 2026, including Telent, Cyro Cyber and Aran Group. M Group is backed by CVC Capital Partners, which acquired the business in October 2024. Financial terms were not disclosed.
