Brookfield-backed Boralex acquires UK wind developer Wind2

Boralex Inc. has agreed to acquire Wind2, a UK renewable energy developer founded in 2016 that works on onshore wind, solar and energy park projects across Scotland, Wales and parts of England. The deal brings Wind2's two UK offices and their teams into Boralex. The company describes Boralex as a Brookfield portfolio company.

Boralex said the acquisition supports its UK growth strategy and adds well-advanced, ready-to-build projects to its development platform. Boralex already commissioned the 106 MW Limekiln Wind Farm in April 2025 and is building two wind and storage assets totaling 73 MW, with a 1.7 GW development pipeline. Wind2 was advised by Knight Frank Capital Advisory.
