Bendon acquires Hinkler’s North American business
The Brightstar-backed buyer adds Kaleidoscope, Craft Maker and Piccadilly; Hinkler’s other operations remain under existing ownership.
Brightstar Capital Partners-backed Bendon acquired Hinkler’s North American business, adding coloring and activity books, arts and crafts, stationery, toys and games. The acquired portfolio includes the Kaleidoscope, Craft Maker and Piccadilly brands.
Hinkler’s Australian and other international operations are excluded and will continue independently under existing ownership. Bendon plans to expand distribution through its retail relationships, including impulse, seasonal and party channels.
This is Bendon’s second acquisition since Brightstar invested, following School Zone Publishing in July. Based in Ashland, Ohio, Bendon designs and distributes children’s activity and educational products.
