Willdan completes purchase of Mantis Innovation for $285 million
Houston-based Mantis Innovation provides building controls, energy efficiency and facility management services to industrial and commercial clients.
Willdan Group (NASDAQ: WLDN) has completed its previously announced acquisition of Mantis Intermediate Holdings, LLC, doing business as Mantis Innovation, for $285 million in cash, subject to customary holdbacks and adjustments. The deal closed after the HSR waiting period expired and other customary closing conditions were met.
Mantis serves manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, data center and other energy-intensive customers. Willdan CEO Mike Bieber said the combination would help clients manage electricity demand, control costs and improve grid use. Mantis CEO Darrell Whitley said joining Willdan expands opportunities for the company's people and clients.
Willdan will provide further details and updated financial guidance on its third-quarter earnings call on November 5, 2026. Jefferies LLC served as exclusive financial adviser to Mantis.
