H.I.G. Capital sold ECI, a managed IT, cybersecurity and compliance services provider for alternative investment managers and investment banks, to Wind Point Partners.

The New York-based company has more than 30 years of experience serving regulated financial firms, with over 630 clients across 37 countries, eight data centers and more than 775 employees.

Under H.I.G.’s ownership, ECI transformed into a security-first managed services platform, expanding into AI-enabled services and building a global delivery model.

“The past several years have been a period of transformation for ECI,” said CEO Jeff Schmidt.

“H.I.G. was instrumental in helping us enhance our service offering, go-to-market strategy, and delivery capabilities, and we’re excited to continue that momentum alongside Wind Point.” Baird and Guggenheim Partners served as financial advisors to H.I.G. and ECI, with King & Spalding LLP as legal counsel.
