Driftwood Music Group acquires SoStereo

SoStereo, a music and sonic strategy company for brands, joins Driftwood's FlyteVu portfolio and will keep operating as a standalone business under CEO Lindsey Camerota.

Driftwood Music Group, a family-owned investment and operating platform focused on brand, culture and entertainment, said it has acquired SoStereo, a music and sonic strategy business that works with brands. Terms were not disclosed.

SoStereo will sit alongside FlyteVu, the creative and culture agency that was DMG's first investment, and will continue to run as a standalone company led by CEO Lindsey Camerota. The combination adds music search and licensing, sonic branding and original composition to the group's creative and marketing services.

DMG CEO Kevin Thompson said the platform is backing companies with distinct expertise, leadership and proprietary technology. FlyteVu CEO and founder Laura Hutfless said SoStereo's tools should let the agency deliver creative work more efficiently, while Camerota said the partnership gives SoStereo resources to expand its client offering.
