Docusign acquires Suplari
Seattle-based Suplari, an AI-powered procurement intelligence platform founded in 2017, is being acquired by Docusign; terms were not disclosed.
Docusign (NASDAQ: DOCU) announced its acquisition of Suplari, an AI-native procurement intelligence company headquartered in Seattle. Docusign said Suplari's technology and team will be brought into its Intelligent Agreement Management platform. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Docusign plans to combine Suplari's spending and supplier insights with its Iris agreement AI engine. Stated goals include identifying savings from consolidated purchases, tracking supplier obligations, informing renewal and negotiation decisions, and flagging purchases that fall outside agreed terms. The companies also plan to expand integrations with SAP Ariba, Coupa and Oracle.
Suplari, which was founded in 2017, serves enterprises including BT Group, Nordstrom and MediaNews Group. Docusign CEO Allan Thygesen said the deal would connect what suppliers' agreements say with how companies actually spend. Suplari CEO Jeff Gerber said joining Docusign would link that intelligence more closely to the agreements behind spending.
