WalkerHughes Insurance acquires Burgett Insurance Agency in Ohio
The Killbuck, Ohio agency serves individuals, businesses, municipalities and a community bank in Holmes County, and founder Cory Miller will remain involved in client service and team mentoring.
Burgett Insurance Agency, a Killbuck, Ohio insurance agency serving individuals, businesses, municipalities and a community bank in Holmes County, has been acquired by WalkerHughes Insurance. Founder and owner Cory Miller will remain with the agency after the transaction, continuing to serve clients and mentor new team members.
“Cory has built something special in Killbuck, an agency that’s woven into the fabric of that community,” said Benjamin Schoettmer, CEO of WalkerHughes. WalkerHughes, a Carmel, Indiana-based retail insurance brokerage backed by BW Forsyth Partners, entered Ohio earlier this year through a partnership with Sacksteder Worland Insurance Agency in Tiffin.
