Peakline Partners closes Kalon Capital acquisition
The deal gives Peakline a larger equipment finance operating platform with direct origination and underwriting capabilities in asset-backed equipment lending.
Peakline Partners has acquired Kalon Capital, a Stamford, Connecticut-based provider of mid-ticket equipment financing for essential-use equipment, folding a direct lending platform into its private credit strategy. Peakline can now originate equipment-backed transactions directly with businesses, rather than relying solely on externally sourced opportunities.
Kalon finances essential-use assets for businesses across manufacturing, industrial services, construction, technology, transportation and critical infrastructure; its structures are designed to help companies acquire and modernize equipment while preserving capital for other business needs. Kalon founder and CEO Nicole Torraco will join Peakline along with the existing team, including CFO Joost van Brakel and Chief Credit and Operating Officer Andrea Zana.
