Management retains a significant stake in the security integrator, which operates eight branches.
Apax-advised funds completed the acquisition of NextGen Security, an Exton, Pennsylvania-based security-systems integrator, from Dunes Point Capital. The September 9 announcement covers a business founded in 2012 that designs, installs and maintains video-management, access-control and intrusion-detection systems.
NextGen serves utilities, healthcare, education and government customers across the United States and Canada from eight branches. Co-founder and CEO Frank Brewer remains the largest individual shareholder, and management retains a significant stake.
Apax will support salesforce investment, national-account expansion and acquisitions. William Blair and Raymond James advised NextGen.
