Mutares sells Peugeot Motocycles to its management team
Peugeot Motocycles, a maker of motorized two- and three-wheeler vehicles, has been sold by Mutares to its management team.
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has sold Peugeot Motocycles SAS to the company's management team, according to a deal roundup published by S&P Global Market Intelligence on May 6, 2026.
Mutares, a Munich-based listed private equity holding company, typically acquires and restructures underperforming businesses, mainly in Europe, and exits its holdings through trade sales, secondary buyouts or other transactions. The sale is one of its portfolio exits.
Earlier reporting by PE Hub on March 4, 2026 said Mutares would sell Peugeot Motocycles in a management buyout.
