Platinum Equity acquired Infratech, a Gardena, California-based maker of infrared electric heating products for residential and commercial applications. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company has operated for more than 50 years and manufactures products in the United States, including electric heating systems, UL-listed controls, mounting options and related comfort-heating equipment. Platinum acquired the business from entrepreneur Sam Longo Jr. and CEO John Mazzotta, who retained equity stakes; Mazzotta will continue as CEO. Raymond James advised Platinum, with Willkie Farr & Gallagher as legal counsel and Alston & Bird as financing counsel. Lincoln International advised Infratech.
