Demand for outsourced mission-critical aerial services in the Nordics has drawn an infrastructure investor: CapMan Infra has agreed to acquire a majority stake in HeliAir Sweden, a vertically integrated helicopter operator and lessor.
HeliAir provides helicopter-based firefighting, electricity grid inspections, vegetation management, and military training support from its base in Sweden.
The company serves a diversified customer base across the public and private sectors, and its in-house teams handle maintenance, refuelling, and crew training.
CapMan Infra’s investment will back fleet development and the expansion of services into selected European markets beyond HeliAir’s Nordic core.
The firm targets infrastructure assets that deliver essential services, and it described the company’s role in public safety and critical infrastructure as a strong fit with that focus.
CEO Joel Backlund said the transaction provides a partner to support continued investment in the fleet and capabilities while maintaining reliable service for existing customers across the Nordics and other European markets.
