L Squared completes acquisition of Edko
Bossier City, Louisiana-based Edko provides vegetation management for utilities, pipelines and refineries through 36 branches.
L Squared Capital Partners has acquired Edko, LLC, a provider of regulatory-driven, non-discretionary vegetation management services for critical infrastructure across the United States. The deal is the first platform investment in L Squared's Fund V, a $2 billion private equity fund that closed in April 2026.
Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Bossier City, Louisiana, Edko serves electric utility, pipeline and refinery, exploration and production, and renewables customers through 36 branch locations. Its offering includes bareground, foliar, basal and tree growth regulator applications, plus contract forestry, fire mitigation and drone-based services through its unmanned aerial vehicle program.
Tyler Huez, Partner at L Squared, said the firm's long-term horizon suits Edko's focus on its field organization and technical capabilities. L Squared plans to support Edko's growth, pursue acquisitions that extend its footprint, and serve as a platform to consolidate the fragmented vegetation management market.
