Newport & Co acquires ReHa from Health Care Group
ReHa, a unit of Health Care Group's Home Care Solutions, is carved out as Aketis, a Pontedera-based provider of medical aids to Italian health authorities with 11 million euros in revenue.
Newport & Co, a Verona-based carve-out specialist, has acquired ReHa, the business unit of Home Care Solutions within Health Care Group. Following the carve-out, the business is run as an independent company named Aketis, with Nicola Marzella, ReHa's general manager, appointed chief executive.
Aketis, based in Pontedera in the province of Pisa, has 115 employees and provides medical and orthopedic aids to local health authorities, including sanitization, maintenance, regeneration and home delivery. It reported revenue of 11 million euros, a compound annual growth rate of 18% since 2020, an EBITDA margin above 11% and confirmed orders of over 27 million euros for 2026-2028.
Newport's founder and CEO Tom Van der Haegen said the company was drawn to Aketis's cash generation and revenue visibility, and that it would provide a permanent shareholder without a private equity exit timetable. The deal is Newport's third acquisition in a year, after Itasprings and Sall.
