Animal Outpatient Specialty Network acquires portfolio of outpatient specialty practices

Animal Outpatient Specialty Network (AOSN) has acquired a portfolio of outpatient veterinary specialty practices, including certain Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists, Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals, Dermatology for Animals, Eye Care for Animals and Veterinary Cancer Group clinics. The parties did not disclose the purchase price.

AOSN said the deal makes it the largest dedicated outpatient veterinary specialty business in the U.S. animal healthcare market, with more than 300 veterinary specialists and residents nationwide. Its network covers dentistry and oral surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology and surgery, and it runs the nation's largest residency program in outpatient veterinary specialty medicine.

CEO Steven Mrha said the acquired practices have talented teams, trusted brands and deep community roots, and that the combined company aims to set a new standard for outpatient veterinary specialty care.
