Rockwell Medical to acquire Vantive's hemodialysis business

Rockwell Medical agrees to buy Vantive's hemodialysis concentrates, machines and water treatment business, with a Medolla, Italy campus, targeting $400 million to $450 million combined revenue.

Wixom, Michigan-based Rockwell Medical (Nasdaq: RMTI) has entered into an Equity and Asset Purchase Agreement with Vantive Limited to acquire Vantive's hemodialysis concentrates, HD machines including AK-98, water treatment systems, and related consumables and technical services business. The acquisition is expected to close in mid-2027.

Rockwell Medical will also acquire Vantive's one million square foot manufacturing campus in Medolla, Italy, within the Mirandola Biomedical District. The campus makes dry concentrate cartridges, HD machines, parts, consumables and water treatment systems. The company said it would become a more diversified global supplier of hemodialysis products and services, and estimates the combined business could generate annual revenue of $400 million to $450 million, subject to operational, currency and market assumptions.
