Bluejay-Backed Pacific West Acquires Coleman Industrial Construction
The Kansas City contractor extends Pacific West’s rail and industrial services footprint into the Midwest.
Pacific West, a Bluejay Capital Partners portfolio company, acquired Coleman Industrial Construction, a Kansas City, Missouri-based contractor serving rail and industrial facilities. Founded in 1979, Coleman primarily serves Class I railroads.
Its work includes locomotive fueling and servicing systems, railcar maintenance facilities, yard air systems, and wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. Owner Paul Freeman joins Pacific West’s business development team.
The acquisition adds Kansas City to Pacific West’s operations in Salt Lake City, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio and Phoenix. It is Pacific West’s third add-on since Bluejay’s initial investment.
