Insight Partners has made a platform investment in Spur Intelligence, a Florida-based provider of infrastructure-aware IP intelligence that detects anonymized, proxied, or obscured internet traffic for security and fraud teams.

The $200 million investment will fund product development, broader intelligence coverage, and scaling of enterprise operations.

Spur's platform is built on continuous observation of anonymizing infrastructure, delivering real-world network behavior and attribution signals that AI models cannot replicate.

The company serves government and commercial customers, and a 2026 Spur study found that 94% of organizations encountered anonymizing VPNs or residential proxies in security incidents, with nearly half planning to buy commercial IP intelligence within a year.

"We're in the middle of a massive shift in fraud prevention," said Thomas Krane, Managing Director at Insight Partners.
