GTCR acquires Tactacam from Bertram Capital
The proprietary subscription platform serves more than one million subscribers across outdoor recreation and property security, anchored by the REVEAL and Defend camera brands.
GTCR completed its acquisition of Tactacam, a Billings, Montana-based provider of cellular-connected cameras, from Bertram Capital. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company's REVEAL trail cameras serve hunters and land managers, while its Defend security cameras provide live-view monitoring for homes, gates, barns, job sites, and other remote locations without requiring Wi-Fi, wired connectivity, or professional installation. More than one million subscribers rely on Tactacam's proprietary subscription platform nationwide.
Bertram Capital supported the business through its in-house technology team, Bertram Labs. Chicago-based GTCR has invested more than $35 billion across more than 300 companies since 1980.
