Madison Dearborn Partners acquires Marygold Companies
The pending cash acquisition would refocus the holding company on USCF, its asset management business with roughly $6 billion under management.
Madison Dearborn Partners agreed to acquire The Marygold Companies for $2 per share in cash. The price represents a 100% premium to Marygold's September 24 closing share price.
The transaction would take the listed holding company private and refocus it on USCF, which manages approximately $6 billion in commodity and equity exchange-traded products. MDP is partnering with fund management executive Tim Rotolo, who would become CEO.
Closing is expected in the first half of 2027 or earlier, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
