Ascend Learning acquires M7 Health
The clinical scheduling software business joins Ascend’s healthcare workforce technology portfolio.
Blackstone and CPP Investments-backed Ascend Learning acquired M7 Health, a clinical workforce scheduling and management software provider. M7 serves academic medical centers, community hospitals and rural hospitals.
Its platform forecasts staffing needs, balances schedules and identifies staff to fill gaps. The business joins Ascend’s StaffGarden and Laudio brands, adding scheduling and deployment to a portfolio spanning professional development, credentials and staff engagement.
M7’s software complements existing timekeeping and human resources systems. Ascend provides healthcare education, testing and certification products.
The acquisition was announced September 21.
