Blackstone forms Falcata with TSC and Applied Systems Engineering, Inc.
The new defense platform pairs complementary interceptor guidance-chain technologies to expand America’s interceptor industrial base against inexpensive aerial threats.
TSC and Applied Systems Engineering, Inc., developers of mission-critical sensing, guidance, navigation and control technologies for missile defense and other national security missions, have been combined under Blackstone’s new Falcata platform. Falcata brings together seekers, radar, guidance electronics, control actuation systems, GPS-denied navigation, ISR, launchers, and related technologies across the interceptor guidance chain.
The platform is intended to expand America’s interceptor industrial base by countering inexpensive aerial threats and meeting demand for cost-effective national security missions. “Partnered with Blackstone, we have the resources to build and scale to dramatically expand what we can offer our customers,” said Brandon Wolfson, CEO of Falcata.
Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP served as legal counsel to Blackstone.
