DelCam-backed Space Age Electronics acquires Gemcom
The Illinois manufacturer adds fire-suppression switches, graphic annunciators and engineered signage to the platform.
Space Age Electronics, a DelCam Capital portfolio company, acquired Gemcom, a Burr Ridge, Illinois-based manufacturer serving fire-alarm and life-safety equipment makers. Gemcom produces fire-suppression switches, graphic annunciators and engineered signage.
The family-owned business was founded nearly four decades ago and supplies hardware to original-equipment manufacturers. Gemcom will operate within Space Age Electronics and gain access to its engineering and manufacturing resources, national distribution network and relationships with more than 1,000 fire-systems integrators.
