Zoetis to acquire VitalRADS, a veterinary teleradiology platform

VitalRADS provides teleradiology, mobile ultrasound and cloud image storage to more than 1,800 veterinary customers, with operations in Texas and Seattle-area services.

Zoetis has agreed to acquire VitalRADS, a veterinary teleradiology services platform, to expand its diagnostic imaging, specialist services and workflow technology. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal builds on a partnership the companies announced in August 2025.

VitalRADS offers 24/7 access to board-certified specialists who review radiographs, ECGs, CT and MRI scans for more than 25 animal species. It also runs a mobile ultrasound service in the Greater Houston and Greater Seattle areas and an outpatient imaging center in Cypress, Texas, and serves more than 1,800 active customers.

Zoetis said the acquisition will add AI-assisted report generation, quality assurance tools and imaging to its reference laboratory services and its Virtual Laboratory. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Guggenheim Securities advised VitalRADS and Ropes & Gray was its legal counsel; Fenwick & West acted as legal counsel to Zoetis.
