ShoreView sells GradeEight to strategic acquirer
Plano, Texas-based MRO distributor GradeEight, founded in 1978, was sold by ShoreView, which had partnered with the company in September 2017.
ShoreView has sold its investment in GradeEight, the parent company of the Winzer and FastServ divisions, to a strategic acquirer. The buyer and financial terms were not disclosed in the announcement.
Over the holding period, GradeEight invested in an ERP platform, recruited a new leadership team, completed a material add-on acquisition and ran a CEO succession plan. Winzer distributes fasteners and maintenance supplies through about 300 independent franchisees, while FastServ operates retail stores.
