Autoliv completes acquisition of MCF Safety Belts

Pancalieri-based seatbelt maker with about 60 employees and roughly EUR 10 million in annual sales, serving more than 500 customers.

Autoliv has completed its acquisition of MCF Safety Belts S.r.l., an Italian specialist in seatbelts for commercial and specialty vehicles, following final regulatory approval. The deal is described as part of Autoliv's strategy to grow in adjacent markets.

MCF Safety Belts, founded in 1989 and based in Pancalieri near Turin, develops and manufactures certified seatbelts and specialized harnesses for applications including agriculture, material handling, bus and coach, and motorsport. It has about 60 employees and annual sales of around EUR 10 million.

Autoliv says the acquisition expands its presence in off-road and specialty commercial vehicles and creates a European hub for low-volume, high-variant seatbelt production. Management is expected to remain in place, and Autoliv plans to keep MCF's customer proximity and operating model.
