Reds10 Group acquires majority stake in modular housing maker MMY US
MMY US designs, makes and builds permanent modular homes, with a Louisville, Kentucky plant and a planned Cleveland, Ohio facility.
UK-based Reds10 Group, a collection of vertically integrated construction, manufacturing and specialist services businesses, has announced its expansion into the United States through a strategic investment in MMY US, acquiring a majority stake in the modular housing specialist.
MMY completes about 85% of construction off site and says homes can be delivered in as little as eight weeks. It currently operates a manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky, and is preparing to redevelop a historic industrial building in Cleveland, Ohio into a modular housing plant. Reds10 said its capital, expertise and technology will help MMY execute its secured pipeline and expand across the US.
The deal takes Reds10 Group to 14 companies and more than 1,000 employees. Paul Ruddick, CEO of Reds10 Group, said the investment gives the group a presence in the US.
