Kelso-backed Beacon Communications acquires Low Voltage Solutions
Lockport, Illinois-based provider of structured cabling, security, fire and life safety, and AV systems serving Chicago-area healthcare and education clients.
Kelso-backed Beacon Communications, a Littleton, Colorado provider of mission critical communications and security solutions, has acquired Low Voltage Solutions Inc. (LVS), a Lockport, Illinois technology solutions provider. The deal expands Beacon's presence in Illinois and the greater Chicago region for healthcare, government, education and commercial customers.
Founded in 1997, LVS began as a voice and data cabling contractor and now designs, installs and supports low-voltage systems, including voice, data and fiber optic cabling, electronic security, fire alarm and audiovisual technologies. Its customers include Northwestern University, University of Illinois Chicago, Morris Hospital and Chicago Public Schools. Beacon CEO Brad Walsh said the teams would be brought together to build on LVS's foundation, and LVS President Gary St. Cin said LVS clients would keep the same people and relationships.
