GovExec acquires d8 Group
GovExec, backed by Growth Catalyst Partners, bought BD-as-a-service consultancy d8 Group, which will run as an independent division under founder Reeba Magulick.
GovExec has acquired d8 Group, a consulting firm that sells business development as a service to government contractors. Terms were not disclosed. The deal closed with financial backing from GovExec's majority owner, Growth Catalyst Partners.
d8 Group will operate as a standalone division led by founder Reeba Magulick. Its IQ2B Process and team of growth specialists work with sales and BD leaders to identify high-probability pipeline opportunities, map federal decision makers and carry capture efforts through to proposal submission.
GovExec CEO Dan McCarthy said d8's standing among government contracting BD leaders made it an attractive addition. The company said the acquisition complements market intelligence from its GovTribe unit, pairing d8's qualifying method with GovTribe's AI-driven data. GovExec chairman Peter Goldstone advised on the transaction.
