Federal Signal acquires Global Vacuum Systems for about $29 million
Navasota, Texas-based maker of custom liquid vacuum tank trucks, which generated about $12 million in 2025 net sales, bought from its family owners.
Federal Signal Corporation has completed the acquisition of substantially all the assets and operations of Global Vacuum Systems, a family-owned manufacturer of custom liquid vacuum tank trucks, for a purchase price of approximately $29 million. The price includes GVS's manufacturing facility, which accounted for about $15 million.
Founded in 1985, GVS makes code and non-code liquid vacuum tank trucks in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. It generated net sales of about $12 million for the year ended December 31, 2025.
Federal Signal CEO Jennifer L. Sherman said the deal expands its presence in the code vacuum truck segment, which she described as underserved, and adds manufacturing capacity alongside its Vactor, TRUVAC, Guzzler and Westech brands.
