Evoco takes over Frank Original brand in insolvency proceedings
Frank Walz- und Schmiedetechnik, maker of agricultural wear parts in Reddighausen, Germany, gets an investment from Evoco, a shareholder since 2021.
Evoco Beteiligungsgesellschaft will take over the Frank Original brand as investor and invest an undisclosed "significant amount" in Frank Walz- und Schmiedetechnik GmbH, which is in self-administered insolvency proceedings. The contracts have been signed and are due to take effect at the turn of 2026/27, according to a press release issued after a staff meeting.
The company plans to cut headcount from about 100 at the Reddighausen site to around 50, and to close its O.E.M. Tec subsidiary in Brehna, Saxony-Anhalt, with about 60 employees, in early 2027. A Hungarian site is to add about 30 staff. Management said the restructuring aims at a more efficient organisation as demand fluctuates. Evoco has held a stake in Frank Original since 2021, and the creditors' committee and insolvency administrator approved the solution.
