FFL Partners Invests in CFO Advisory Firm Waylin Partners
The Chicago consultancy embeds more than 50 finance specialists in private equity portfolio companies and has completed over 300 engagements.
FFL Partners invested in Waylin Partners, a Chicago-based consulting firm that provides finance teams to private equity-backed companies. Founded in 2022, Waylin employs more than 50 finance engineers who work within portfolio companies’ CFO offices.
Its services include financial planning and analysis, data engineering, technical accounting and performance improvement. The firm has completed more than 300 engagements since inception.
Co-founders and managing partners James Willson and Spencer Tielens will work with FFL to recruit staff, build relationships with sponsors and develop AI-enabled services. The investment follows FFL’s earlier backing of CFO consultancy Accordion Partners.
