Trivest Partners-backed Sentinel Dock & Door Solutions has acquired Dependable Overhead Door Service, a commercial and industrial door service provider in the Greater Toronto Area, deepening the platform’s presence in Ontario.
Dependable was founded in 1988 as Dependable Overhead Door Service of Bramalea Ltd and has built a reputation for reliable door installation, repair, and preventative maintenance.
The company serves a base of commercial and industrial customers across the GTA, with a team known for responsive service and long-term relationships.
Owners Lindsay Dempster and Ryan Ward will remain with the business, preserving its local identity while gaining access to Sentinel’s technician network, equipment, and operational support.
Sentinel, formed by Trivest Partners as a dedicated acquisition platform, is building a national network of commercial dock and door service providers.
Trivest focuses exclusively on founder- and family-owned businesses, providing capital and strategic resources to scale local operators.
The Dependable acquisition adds installation volume and service capacity in a key logistics and industrial market, and Sentinel continues to pursue similar partnerships with established operators across Canada.
