Runyon & Sons Roofing, a Northeast Ohio residential roofing company known for its craftsmanship and customer-first approach, has been acquired by TrussPoint Roofing & Exterior Renovations, a Soundcore Capital-backed platform that has now added four regional brands since its formation in 2025.

Based in Mentor, Ohio, Runyon & Sons Roofing serves homeowners, multi-family properties, and commercial customers throughout the Cleveland and Northeast Ohio markets.

The company specializes in residential roofing services and is recognized for its quality, reliability, and deep local market knowledge.

President Todd Runyon will continue to lead the business under its existing brand, with access to TrussPoint’s operational resources and back-office support.

TrussPoint CEO Chad Colony noted that the team’s customer-first culture aligns with the platform’s mission, and the local identity will remain intact.

TrussPoint was created in 2025 to partner with high-growth, retail-centered roofing and exterior services businesses that operate vendor-managed repair and maintenance models.

In addition to Runyon, the platform includes Ridge Top Exteriors, Mario’s Roofing, and Eaton Roofing & Exteriors, giving it a multi-brand presence across multiple states.

Soundcore Capital, founded in 2015 by Jarrett Turner and based in New York, backs TrussPoint under its thesis-driven buy-and-build strategy.

The firm focuses on lower investments and has completed more than 114 acquisitions across 14 platforms in sectors such as industrial services, business and outsourced services, specialty manufacturing, and value-added distribution.
