DCN Dx acquires biospecimen provider BioSouthTech
BioSouthTech supplies human biospecimens from a Miami-area base, with a Latin American collection network and Caribbean specimen access.
DCN Dx announced its acquisition of BioSouthTech, Inc., a human biospecimen provider headquartered in the Miami area. The deal expands DCN Dx's sample bank and patient access for drug and diagnostic research, according to the company.
BioSouthTech brings a collection network across Latin America, including South America, and access to specimens from the Caribbean. DCN Dx said the target's banked specimens and regional network broaden sourcing for oncology, neurology and autoimmune disease research.
DCN Dx CEO Charlie Mamrak said patient diversity was central to the company's biospecimens business. DCN Dx, based in Carlsbad, California, said new geographies and expanded cohorts are planned for early 2027.
