BioPhorum acquires digital manufacturing consultancy PharmaX Solutions

Five Arrows-backed BioPhorum has deepened its implementation services offering with the acquisition of PharmaX Solutions, a digital manufacturing consultancy focused on pharmaceutical production and GxP-regulated environments.

The transaction follows a series of training-focused acquisitions over the past 18 months, including Brookwood Global, Compliance Hub, and Inspired Pharma, extending BioPhorum's reach beyond its core collaborative best-practice forums.

PharmaX Solutions designs, implements, and integrates manufacturing execution systems, automation platforms, and quality systems for pharmaceutical manufacturers.

Its 50 professionals work from offices in Germany, Spain, Denmark, and Switzerland, bringing expertise in IT/OT convergence and GxP regulatory compliance.

The firm's practitioner-led approach helps manufacturers achieve operational efficiency and data integrity in production environments.

With the addition, BioPhorum now offers a full suite spanning industry best-practice guidance, hands-on implementation, and training.

The combination enables customers to translate collaborative insights directly into on-the-ground operational improvements.

PharmaX Solutions founder and CEO Karthik Kuncharam will continue to lead the implementation team under the BioPhorum brand.

Five Arrows partner Kunal Pandit noted that the deal represents a step-change in BioPhorum's evolution from a forum-led organization to a diversified services platform with a broader addressable market.
