The Master Group, backed by Novacap, has acquired Distributor Corporation of New England, a Carrier-aligned HVAC-R distributor serving contractors across eastern New England.
Founded 63 years ago, the family-owned business provides residential and commercial equipment, parts, supplies, and technical support from eight locations in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
"The success of DCNE is first and foremost a reflection of what the Kolligian family and its team have built over the years," said Louis St-Laurent, CEO of The Master Group.
Michele and Nancy Kolligian will continue to manage the business through a smooth transition, the companies said.
The Master Group, Canada's largest HVAC-R distributor, now operates close to 100 branches and 9 distribution facilities across Canada and the United States, employing more than 2,000 people.
