Industrial Growth Partners has acquired Lamart Corporation, a Clifton, NJ-based manufacturer of coated and laminated flexible materials founded in 1956, in partnership with the Hirsh family and management.
Lamart primarily serves the aerospace and defense sector with products such as insulation covering films, acoustic/thermal insulation blankets, and EMI/RFI shielding laminates, while also supplying the space, automotive, construction, energy, medical, industrial, and optical end markets.
“Our family has spent seven decades building Lamart as a problem solver for our customers,” said Jonathan Hirsh, Chief Executive Officer of Lamart.
The acquisition is IGP’s eighth platform investment from its sixth fund and its fourth aerospace and defense platform, following prior investments in Hultec, AMG, and Prince & Izant, and will support capital investments to expand Lamart’s custom coating and laminating capabilities for mission-critical applications.
