Tinicum has invested in GracoRoberts, a value-added distributor of specialty chemicals and advanced composite materials to the aerospace and defense industry, providing an exit for seller CM Equity Partners.
The deal establishes a platform for Tinicum, which earlier this year partnered with Blackstone to take FTSE 250 aerospace components maker Senior plc private in a £1.275 billion transaction.
Based in Arlington, Texas, GracoRoberts operates an omnichannel distribution model that includes e-commerce and technical sales, serving thousands of customers globally with offerings such as defense logistics and compliance services.
Management retained a significant stake and will continue to lead the company.
