Southfield Capital-backed Littlejohn & acquires Milrose Consultants

Based in New York, the compliance-services provider employs more than 435 professionals and serves customers through offices across all 50 states.

Milrose Consultants, a New York-based provider of building code consulting, permit expediting, architecture and engineering, inspection and municipal real estate compliance services, was sold by Southfield Capital to Littlejohn & Co.

The company works across commercial, multi-family residential, retail, industrial, healthcare and academic end markets, with more than 435 professionals operating from offices in all 50 states.

Southfield first partnered with Milrose in 2019 and grew the business from an NYC-focused company into a national platform, with earnings increasing more than sevenfold through a larger sales organization, additional services, management recruiting and 14 add-on acquisitions.

Southfield also completed a continuation vehicle transaction for Milrose in 2023, giving existing investors optional liquidity before the sale.

"Southfield has been an exceptional value-add partner and trusted advisor throughout our time working together," said Dominic Maurillo, CEO of Milrose since 2021.

Terms were not disclosed; key members of Milrose's management team will remain shareholders in partnership with Littlejohn.
